Tabasco

TABASCO

First off to clarify, the well-known Tabasco sauce you can buy at the store is not from Tabasco, México. The sauce is made in Louisiana in the USA. None of the peppers used in this sauce are grown in the state of Tabasco.

Villahermosa is the capital city where visitors can explore an outdoor park where relics from the largest Olmec city are showcased.

To the north of the city are a handful of lessor known beaches located on the Gulf of México.

Tabasco is also a region where cacao is grown which is the main ingredient for making chocolate. Tours to the fields and processing centers can be arranged.
