Guanajuato

Mexican tourists as well as international travelers like to visit this state because of its beautiful colonial cities of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, and León.

Guanajuato state is also rich in history, especially pertaining to México’s fight for independence from Spain. In the town of Dolores Hidalgo, a priest by the name of Miguel Hidalgo took up the cause in 1809 by giving a stirring speech to the local common people which sparked the beginning of the rebellion against the Spanish authorities.

This state also has many opportunities for outdoor adventure fun. Horse trail rides into deep canyons, ATV riding, hiking, and rappelling are just some of the activities found here.
